What is the most emotional scene in a book that you have read lately?

I recently finished Caleb’s Crossing by Geraldine Brooks. This novel is filled with emotional scenes! There is one death of a child that had me in tears. I can’t write more without including a spoiler alert.

How difficult to choose just one! Today I’m remembering Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery. This book is one of the reasons I love reading and writing.  Anne Shirley taught me that being an imaginative, quirky, imperfect girl was awesome. I try to remember her words of wisdom: “Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it.”
